Association of Buchan Crafters
At ABC craft fairs our members do innovation, creativity and all with love.
Whether you are looking for crafts for your home, an unusual present for a family member or a special card for a friend. The crafters of ABC fairs are here to help. Check our Facebook page, local press or just look out for the new banners outside Buchans many village halls to find us. 2017 is a busy year with nine fairs organised, among the long standing venues a couple of new names have been added. The public hall at Methlick and the New Deer Church Cafe. On the 22nd of July we will be at the Apex Church hall for Scottish Week, August will see ABC back at Cullen, we are returning to the more centrally located Insch in September. The year ends with outings to Dyce in October and New Deer in November.
Membership of the ABC is open to everyone with an interest in Craft whether you are a newcomer or seasoned crafter.
We have enquiries from crafters who produce food products. This is a new thing for us so after taking advice from Trading Standards and Weight and Measures we ask the following:
1. All food products are packaged
2. Packaging is labelled with information of the contents and allergens
3. You display your current Food hygiene certificate and Public Liability
All members receive the quarterly newsletter and of course the opportunity to attend ABC craft fairs.

About ABC how it began
In the latter part of 1994 a Project Leader from the Central Buchan Project through various contacts and approaches began to realise that there was a need for a Craft Association in the area. Several meetings with local crafters were inaugurated, discussions where held and these resulted in the Association of Buchan Crafters being constituted formally on 1st June 1995. It was recognised that Crafters were beavering away at home, in workshops or garages using their creative abilities to make a range of fantastic products but had no ready outlet to sell their finished goods. The Association of Buchan Crafters was founded to address such issues
